We inserted the second piece of foam into the mattress cover such that all our sensors, vibration motors and wires were sandwiched between the piece they were attached to (bottom) and the comfort piece (top). We left part of the mattress cover unzipped to pass our wires through for storage.
Instead of 3D printing a new box which would take many hours and materials, we decided to repurpose the box we previously built in Week 4 that had inaccurate dimensions to perfectly fit our Arduino, breadboard and HX711s. We used wire cutters and pen knives to cut the internal parts.
We then used the hot glue gun to make internal walls that could fit our pieces snugly, such that they would not lift unless significant pressure was applied.
