This section covers the development of our ideas throughout this project. A rough timeline is given below.
Week 1-4 – Team built various gliders to test and understand the fundamentals of gliding, however at week 4 meeting, team was recommended to change ideas as it was too unpredictable and may not save power. [Initial Stage]
Week 5 – Team researched on two alternatives: solar and helium. [Change of Plans]
Week 6-7 – Team made prototypes of gyroscope frame. [Birth of He.Ro]
Week 8-13 – Team continuously improved prototypes to maximise power saving and manoeuvrability. [Improving He.Ro]
