Description
As the sublimation temperature of dry ice is -78.5°C, contact with room temperature surfaces causes the dry ice to produce a layer of CO2 vapour. This layer of CO2 vapour slightly levitates the dry ice, allowing it to slide along the surface with very low friction. This in turn allows prolonged high-speed movement with little loss in energy.
Vision
We aim to design a hovercraft that can travel in all directions using 4 motors using the aforementioned mechanism.
