Discussion of future plans
- Cooling mechanism such as using dry ice to cool ice
- Alternative material for caps to achieve both low friction and low heat transfer such as low-friction plastic
- Obtain spring for energy conservation and reversing mechanism
- Design round-bottomed container to create round-bottomed ice (for stability on tracks)
- Design round tracks to allow turning with banking
Decided to make track components from the mechanical workshop instead of 3D printing previous design
- New Risk Assesment
- New design completed and will be cut in the mechanical workshop and pieced together with screws. The pieces can only be collected in end June
