With the design of the upper ramp somewhat finalized, we decided to modify it slightly to make the ramp more rigid. We replaced the previous 20-20 joints with a different design, which was larger and featured locks that slid into the grooves of the aluminium profiles. These could only be used with profiles that exist in the same plane, but provides a much stronger lock that makes it tougher for the profiles to slide or flex.

With some slight modifications to the positions of the joints, our ramp is now capable of being transported and squeezed without flexing, which makes it far more consistent than before.
