Our first ramp uses a pair of guide rails to ensure that the egg rolls into the right position. We gave the base a width of [Insert Number] and the guide rails a width of [Insert Number], which corresponded to the average dimensions of an egg from our carton.
The biggest challenge we faced in constructing the ramp was in keeping the width of the ramp consistent throughout. Because we used joints and screws to connect the profiles together, they would inevitably come loose after repeated strain. We decided to deal with that problem later, as the 20×20 joints that we were using were incapable of producing a sufficiently strong lock to hold the profiles in place.
With the ramp constructed, we can now move on to constructing and testing a mover mechanism, and make modifications to the ramp if necessary.
