Week 1 (23 May -31 May):
- Developed our First Gondola Idea
- explored the different types of pumps available and the different materials they can carry
- Explore different types of paint delivery mechanisms
- Explored different type of linear motions on tracks
Week 2 (1 June -7 June)
- Scaled down our project to the indoor painting
- Development of our second idea
- Researched on different spray painting mechanisms. Decided on airless paint sprayers as the choice of paint delivery
- Researched on various methods to install motors to wheels, and the coding involved to drive the motors.
- Researched on the suitable types of sensors (IR vs ultrasound) for our robot.
- Researched on extendable arm system and developed the telescopic arm Idea
Week 3 (8 June -14 June):
- Development of idea 3
- Exploration of other vertical linear motion/lift system ideas
- Exploration of scissor lifts and how they function
- Researched on how to control mecanum wheels via arduino programming
- Research into the stepper motors and the corresponding wheels that would be able to fit with the motors.
Week 4 (15 June -21 June):
- Checking with Dr Ho and tony
- Ideas got rejected 🙁
Week 5 (22 June -28 June):
- Exploring different CNC movement methods.
- Finding many different motors, wheels and hubs in the hopes of our options being accepted
Week 6 (29 June – 5 July):
- Went to Mnt Lab
- Designed our idea 4
- Decided on Kid Electric vehicle DC motors and wheels
Week 7 (6 July -12 July) :
- Progress meeting and preparation
- Revised Idea to use timing belt pulley system
Week 8(13 July -19 July):
- Redesigned to create the double layer base
- Confirmation with prestech seller
- CG check on fusion 360
Week 9(20 July – 26 July):
- Received some items
- Wrote arduino code
Week 10 (27 July – 2 Aug):
- Test out pump
- Check DC motors with code
- Assemble idler pulley
Week 11(3 Aug- 9 Aug):
- Finally got our aluminium profiles
- Started building Chassis
- Assemble base
