Our stethoscope is built based on the chest piece of the traditional binaural stethoscope, with a diaphragm that vibrates to pick up sounds in the chest cavity when the stethoscope is pressed against the skin. Sound waves will enter an echo chamber where their amplitude is increased. An condenser microphone records the sound and through an Arduino MKR1000 powered by a small battery, analog data is converted to digital data stored in a microSDHC card.
