After we switched from Arduino to RPI and Codesys, we realised we had a steep learning curve ahead of us as we had to learn how to utilise codesys with RPI to control specific parameters (water flow rate, temperature of ice mold). Firstly, we tried out basic codes such as making the LED blink continuously and coding for the ds18b20 temperature sensor to work successfully. After our initial trials with RPI, we connected it with codesys and learnt basic manipulation of variables and how to set up and define our testing system.
