Ready Player Yang was a rather unique event as it invited its participants in exploring gaming as a way to unwind and have fun, after the arduous studying for our exams. Although quite a few of us have not played any sort of games for years, we still enjoyed fixing 2D jigsaw puzzles, defusing a bomb through intense teamwork, and playing a myriad of Nintendo Switch games (and failing quite a fair bit).
Other games varied from the card game “Limpeh Says”, and a mini thriller game resembling Slenderman.
We even had a prize ceremony at the end of the event, which saw the best team getting their very own brand new board game. Overall, we had a great time and discovered a new way to socialise and test our problem-solving skills in a recreational way.
