It’s that time of the semester again. The mad rush to complete assignments, last-minute cramming for the “midterm” quizzes on week 13, the looming research report submission and presentation. And of course, the final examinations that follow immediately after… Well, don’t look so down, because the Business Management (BizMag) Portfolio of CN Yang Scholars’ Club (CNYSC) has prepared a specially curated Examination Welfare Pack (EWP) for every CN Yang scholar!
Held immediately after “Undercooked!!!”, the last CNYSC event before the final examinations, the EWP collection was held in CresPion Seminar Room 1, making it very convenient for most of us to collect our EWP. In line with our EcoPromise, this EWP distribution was a “Bring Your Own Bag” event, enabling us to do our part in conserving resources while enjoying the EWP prepared by BizMag. Our scholars were definitely very happy with the EWP they collected, judging from the smiles sported by many as they ferried away their own recyclable bags bursting at the seams with snacks, stationery, vouchers and more!
Of course, the success of this EWP would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors! This year, the CN Yang Scholars club is happy to announce that we are working with four brilliant sponsors for our EWP. They are none other than Swensen’s, DSO, EscapeHunt and GOGOVAN!
Swensen’s, a household name in Singapore, gave every scholar vouchers that can be used at various Swensen’s restaurant outlets throughout the island. We thank Swensen’s for their great deals which can be used by our scholars for a pick-me-up during the stressful studying period or post-exam celebratory meals.
Meanwhile, as Singapore’s largest defence research and development (R&D) organisation, DSO National Laboratories (DSO) has generously provided CNYSC with enough foolscap pads for every scholar. Many scholars have expressed their delight when they saw the foolscap pads, a highly valued item that can be used for summaries, drawings, past-year papers and calculations during this studying period.
Of course, the best part of any examination period is that feeling we get right after the end of the last paper. We would like to thank EscapeHunt for providing discounts to their mini theme park, role playing experience based on the classic “escape room” games which will be used by our scholars for some well-deserved downtime.
Finally, as it is Semester 2 of the Academic Year, many scholars would be moving out of hall for the summer. Usually, it is a pain to move all our barang-barang from hall back home. This time round, our scholars would not face such a problem, as GOGOVAN has kindly provided a service meant for this very purpose.
