This year’s Dinner & Dance (DnD), themed “Solstice”, was a night to remember. The event brought scholars together for an evening of delicious food, vibrant music, and captivating performances. Held at Concorde Hotel Singapore, it was an incredible occasion filled with laughter.
The evening started off with friends and peers gathered around after registration. Guests were served with a spectacular 8-course Chinese dinner after everyone settled down. Laughter echoed through the venue, as our Emcees, Caitlin and Rauf brought their energy to the stage. With a perfect balance of humor and charm, they kept the atmosphere engaging.
This was followed by the performances brought together by our own talented Year 1 scholars, Xiang Hui, Curtis, Crescentia, Xavier, Cherrie, Gerdine and Jun Rong. The first performance of the evening was led by Cherrie and Gerdine, with Everything Has Changed and Need You Now. Thereafter, Jun Rong continued with a solo performance of Enchanted and Just The Way You Are.
The evening continued with 2 fun and interactive games for our scholars, fully ran by our emcees. First up was a game of guess the song with song lyrics that had been translated multiple times which is then followed with a game of What’s In The Box. The night ended off with the Lucky Draws and Best Dressed awards, adding an extra touch of excitement to the festivities. As the winners were announced, cheers and applause filled the air, creating an atmosphere of celebration and anticipation.
Let’s not forget the bartending and photobooth stations, which were popularly enjoyed by our guests all night long! From the unforgettable performances to the lively atmosphere, the event was a perfect blend of laughter, music, and friends. It was a night that brought the community closer together, leaving everyone with lasting memories and a sense of anticipation for what’s to come next year.
