Pottery Workshop

Date: 6 May 2023

Time: 9:30am – 13:00pm

Venue: Thow Kwang Dragon Kiln

What an amazing morning we had at Thow Kwang Dragon Kiln, our last event for this academic year! Our visit to this cultural gem was a success as we accomplished our goal of introducing traditional arts to the NTU community.
During the visit, we had a chance to learn about the art of making handmade crafts, specifically pottery, and how it has evolved with the progression of society and digital advancement. The hands-on experience of making pottery was a highlight for everyone, as it allowed us to appreciate the creativity and fine art skills utilized in traditional art making.
We’re proud to have organized this initiative and hope that it has inspired more students to embrace traditional arts in their lives. It’s important to recognize and appreciate the cultural heritage of Singapore, and we believe that traditional arts play a vital role in preserving it.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the visit and made it a memorable experience!
