Our brand new event from Heritage Discoverer and Explorer (HDE). The theme for our discovery trip this year is “The Daily Life in the Haji Lane: Hectic Streets & Solemn Mosque”. Our trip took place in the famous Haji Lane and Masjid Sultan. Our participants were invited to bask in the artsy and unique ambiance of Haji Lane all while learning about its rich history. We paint a picture of Haji Street from the 60s to the 70s and compare it to its present form. From food to fashion, we entered and explored the story behind each of the iconic haji lane shophouses. Moreover, we will tour and learn more about one of our most beloved national monuments, the Sultan Mosque. The participants also had the opportunity to browse through the surrounding shophouses and self-explore the area.
