National Cashflow Competition (NCF) 2012

The National Cashflow Competition 2012 (NCF 2012) took place on March 25, 2012 (Sunday) from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM at *SCAPE Warehouse. This event showcased the use of the renowned Cashflow 101 board game, designed to simulate the challenges and rewards of navigating through life’s “rat race.” Participants were tasked with generating enough passive income to break free from the cycle.

This competitive event provided a platform for individuals to showcase their knowledge, skills, and understanding of financial management. Entrants had the opportunity to demonstrate exceptional financial insights, competing for various prizes, including the grand prize—a brand new Sony VAIO laptop. To join, participants were required to pay a $10 registration fee.

The NCF 2012 introduced several new elements to the original game, enhancing the experience for players. Notable modifications included the removal of $1 and $5 stock cards, the introduction of a one-time baby bonus of $1000 for each baby, and the incorporation of an ‘Insurance’ option and ‘Critical Illness’ game.

The competition offered an array of enticing prizes for the top performers. Winners were awarded prizes such as a Sony VAIO Laptop (VPC-EG28) for the first prize, a SONY Cyber-shot Camera for the second prize, and a SONY Digital Media Player (NWZ-E464) for the third prize. Participants ranking fourth to eighth received $50 Cash Vouchers.

Moreover, all participants of the National Cashflow Competition 2012 were entitled to receive a goodie bag, containing items such as a bottle of Newater, writing materials (pen and notepad), vouchers for McDonald’s and Botak Jones’, Ginvera products, and a limited edition National Cashflow Competition 2012 T-shirt.
