Nanyang Student Investment Fund
Weekly sessions: Wednesday 7:30 – 9:30pm
Nanyang Student Investment Fund (NSIF) aims to target students who already have a strong finance background in NTU-IIC. The lessons held are at a fast and intense pace, getting ready members with the skills needed in the finance industry or for stock pitch competitions. As compared to Invest Academy, NSIF lessons are more rigorous. NSIF students are split into groups of 4-5 with two to three directors per group to supervise their learning and act as mentors.
This year, NSIF introduced a new curriculum that covers broader topics in finance. For the first semester, NSIF curriculum focused on building a DCF model on a company. Students were exposed to real-life actual DCF models. For the second semester, NSIF curriculum covered a broad range of topics, encompassing other valuations techniques, sales & trading, and sustainability investment. In the end of the semester, students did a stock pitch on a company of their interest. Additionally, students were given a modelling assessment as part of their graduation requirements.

Goldman Sachs Company visit
NSIF recently achieved a significant milestone through its collaboration with Goldman Sachs for a company visit and industry insight session. This initiative provided NSIF analysts and directors with a deeper understanding of the financial services industry, offering firsthand insights from seasoned professionals. Additionally, the event facilitated valuable networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect and build meaningful relationships with industry experts.
The event received highly positive feedback, inspiring attendees to further pursue careers in finance. Building on this success, NSIF aims to continue hosting similar initiatives in the future, ensuring that future analysts and directors have access to these invaluable opportunities.
CITADEL Singapore Inter-university Networking Night
NSIF marked a key achievement by participating in Discover Citadel & Citadel Securities 2025, an exclusive program designed for exceptional undergraduates across the APAC region. Through this initiative, selected participants gained rare insights into the inner workings of Citadel and Citadel Securities, one of the world’s leading firms in trading, quantitative research, and technology.
The program featured an interuniversity networking night, bringing together members from NTU Investment Interactive Club, NUS Investment Society, and SMU EYE Investment Club. This provided a valuable opportunity for cross-campus engagement, fostering meaningful conversations and collaboration among peers from Singapore’s top universities.
Attendees engaged in a series of dynamic activities, including networking sessions with senior professionals, and sharings by recent graduates. The event offered a valuable platform for students to explore potential internship and full-time opportunities while immersing themselves in the firm’s collaborative and high-performance culture.

Alumni Sharing
This year, NSIF introduced an alumni sharing series to give students valuable insights into careers in the finance sector. The first session took place on 26 February 2025, featuring Wee Kuang as the guest speaker. He shared his experiences working in the asset management industry, providing students with a deeper understanding of the field. The session was well received, with students appreciating the opportunity to learn from an industry professional.
Building on this success, NSIF hosted the second session on 2 April 2025, featuring a speaker from the sales & trading industry. This session offered students a broader perspective on different career paths within finance, helping them explore opportunities beyond investment management. Through these alumni talks, NSIF aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience, equipping students with practical knowledge and industry insights to support their professional growth.
