Meet our Robot!

Our robot is named “Mummybot”, after the amount of masking tape wrapped around it.

Objective:

The robot is required to explore and map out an unknown maze, do image processing and recognition, as well as find the shortest from the start point to the destination

Hardware components needed to build the robot:

  • 5x short range Sharp GP2Y0A21YK IR Sensor
  • 1x long range Sharp GP2Y0A02YK IR Sensor
  • 1x Arduino Uno R3 DEV-01080
  • 1x Ardumono – Motor Driver Shield VHN5019 (POL2502/7Pololu)
  • 1x Power Interface Board
  • 2x 47:1 metal gear motor with built in Quadrature Encoder
  • 1x Raspberry Pi3 and Enclosure with RPi Camera Module V2
  • 1x Battery, SLA 6V, TLA633
  • 1x Power Bank for RPi
  • Wires, brackets, acrylic boards, pin connectors, switches, ball bearings, pillars, screws etc
