Professor Shunsuke Chiba, a professor at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) was awarded the 2019 Mukaiyama Award by The Society of Synthethic Organic Chemistry, Japan.
The award recognizes his contributions to synthetic organic chemistry mainly in his exploration of new reactivity of main group metal hydrides for development of unique and unprecedented molecular transformations.
