CoS Students Named Regional Winners at 2020 Global Undergraduate Awards

The Global Undergraduate Awards is the world’s leading undergraduate awards programme which recognises top undergraduate research. Each year, penultimate and final-year undergraduates, as well as students who have graduated within the programme year, are invited to submit their work to a broad range of 25 categories.

The College of Science is proud to announce that 12 students from CoS have been recognised at the awards this year, with 2 Regional Winners and 10 Highly Commended awardees.

Alexis Goh, an Environmental Earth Systems Science student with the Asian School of the Environment, took home the Asia-wide Regional Award in the Earth & Environmental Sciences category.

From the School of Biological Sciences, Tay Kai Yi, from the Biological Sciences with a Second Major in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology programme, was named the Regional Winner in the Medical Sciences category.

In additional to the two Regional Winners, there were also 10 other students from across CoS whose work was deemed ‘Highly Commended’ – top 10% of all entries.

  • Brandon Wong, Biological Sciences
