The cat is out of the bag – meet the newly elected School of Biological Sciences Alumni Association (SBS AA) main committee who will be serving a two-year term from 2022 to 2024. This team of 4 consists of:

  • President – Chiu Wei Yeow Emile, Class of 2022
  • Vice President – Chua Damien, Class of 2022
  • Secretary – Ain Allysha, Class of 2022
  • Treasurer – Tan Jhing Yein, Class of 2022

Driven to bring the SBS alumni community together, the AA main committee has successfully recruited more members on board the AA, who will be helping in 3 different pillars – Events, Business Development and Publicity & Publications consisting of 3 Chief Exco & 10 Exco members. Out of these 13 members, 2 are overseas, ranging from Class of 2006 to 2022. We can look forward to see more fun and helpful events for alumni and students that involve collaborations with the Career Advancement Office, Biological Sciences Undergraduate Club (BS Club) and the Biology Graduate Students Club (BGSC).

Within two months of their tenure, they have already set up an Instagram account, Telegram channel, LinkedIn page, held a giveaway contest, organised a Graduation Party for class of 2019-2022 with 100% attendance and conducted an Alumni Sharing Session for the undergraduates in collaboration with the BS Club. What a feat!
