Researchers from the College have been recognised as being some of the most influential scientists globally in Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers 2024 list.

Clarivate, a United Kingdom-based data company, compiles an annual list that identifies and celebrates researchers who have showcased significant and far-reaching impact in their areas of research. These researchers are ranked in the top 1 per cent based on citations for their specific fields and publication year. These Highly Cited Researchers are 1 in 1,000 amongst the world’s population of scientists and social scientists.

In their 2024 list, Clarivate highlighted 36 researchers from NTU, nine of whom come from the College of Science.

From the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB), they are:

  1. Prof Warren Chan
  2. Prof Chen Peng
  3. Prof Pu Kanyi
  4. Prof Zhao Yanli
  5. Assoc Prof Lee Jong Min
