Newly awarded S$4.9m “SPACE” Research Grant (NTU-CNRS@CREATE)

Excited to announce my newly awarded research grant (“SPACE”) where I am the lead PI (together with Natacha Aveline, CNRS, France)! This S$4.9m project (2022-2025) is an intra-CREATE project funded by the National Research Foundation.

Here’s the abstract of the project:

Title: “SPACE: Shaping Public Adaptive Capacity for Environmental Infectious Diseases”

The SPACE project aims to develop an innovative research protocol for disease prediction and prevention in Singapore, focusing on dengue and COVID-19. It combines three otherwise disparate approaches to infectious diseases in urban contexts: a) epidemiology modelling and prediction; b) perceptions of and responses to health risks by stakeholders/communities; and c) modelling and scenario building in urban planning and architectural design focused on health impact.
