Congratulations to my team (Co-PIs: Benjamin Li, Shanti Divaharan, & Grzegorz Lisak) on being awarded NTU’s 5th Accelerating Creativity and Excellence (ACE) Grant on ending plastic waste in the environment!
Our new project aims to develop an immersive virtual experience using Virtual Reality (VR) technologies to bring participants closer to the real-life consequences of plastic waste. The primary objective of this research is to gain an empirical understanding of how we can create awareness and encourage plastic waste recycling behaviour among youths in Singapore by exploring the impact of an interactive, gamified VR experience on plastic recycling behaviour.
The 5th ACE Call was a special thematic call funded by both the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) and NTU that aims to promote interdisciplinary collaborations among faculty at NTU schools and colleges to catalyse bold and unconventional research in the widespread challenge of eradicating global plastic waste in the environment.
