As the founder and Lead Strategist at Forward, Chris has a passion for innovation and leadership. Originally heralding from Chicago, he’s been active since 2003 around issues of sustainable development. His specialty is transforming the challenges of our time through forward-focused strategies. Rather than seeing obstacles, he is a lateral thinker who focuses on opportunity. The future will be about creating “thrivability” rather than making existing systems less bad. Chris has consistently pushed this tangent by inspiring his clients, and also by influencing public opinion on Celsias.com and numerous other media outlets. He is also guest lecturer at National University of Singapore School of Geography. He has travelled to 26 countries, written a book, started a business, starred in a TV pilot, and given regular public talks raising awareness on sustainability issues. Outside of work, he has readily given his time to numerous green causes wherever he’s lived. He is a keen outdoor enthusiast, spending much of his free time outside. Since his early 20′s, he has embraced the philosophy of Voluntary Simplicity, one that recognizes the notion of non-materialism and having “enough” in one’s life.

Isaac is a local lad born and raised in Singapore. Passing through the education system, he managed to get most of the ticks in the check boxes that define the Singaporean student culminating with graduation from NUS and a job in a MNC. Although he enjoyed leading teams to build critical applications for major financial institutions, Isaac always felt something was missing in the jobs he had and the work environments he was part of. It was inevitable that he would be drawn to the people behind SGEntrepreneurs, intrigued by the grassroots effort to serve the local entrepreneurs and infected by the passion of the community. He now serves as the lead developer and a full partner in running SGEntrepreneurs. He left his job five months ago to pursue building his own web start-up determined to create the kind of working environment he always yearned for.
