Description

This collection of interactive haute couture dresses Is inspired from the beauty of culture and tradition of the Southwest and South East Asia. The dresses are made from multisensory materials (that engage several of our senses, such as touch, vision and sound ) and tactile surfaces can be worn by individuals interacting among each other in social settings or used as an art installation at art gallery or museum.

The installation dress case study focused on experience discovery for exploratory concept design of intertextuality through seeing and touching, telling by hand, writing with needle and wearing text . The experience with the installation shows that participants can change their own threshold of attention, awareness and body-state through the interaction. It extends the experience with materials like fabric, texture sensuality and concepts of wearing sound and text.
