Intellect – wellbeing tools and counselling/coaching at your fingertips!

We’re excited to share that all NTU students and staff will now be able to access self-help wellbeing tools as well as live person coaching/counselling quickly and easily via the mobile app Intellect!

Introducing Intellect

Intellect combines digital self-care programmes and on-demand support on your mobile phone to help you deal with everyday challenges and build resilience.

Here is a preview of its key features:

    • Extensive library of mental wellbeing self-care and skill-building programmes
    • Comprehensive wellbeing self-monitoring tools and insights
    • Many language options!
    • 1-to-1 live, confidential coaching/counselling sessions directly through the app with your choice of language
    • Unlimited texting support by coaches/counsellors (not bot!)

From 1 January 2025, each NTU student and employee will receive 6x 30-minute coaching/counselling credits per year (tracked from 1 July to 30 June annually). 

Should you require continued counselling support, please contact NTU’s University Counselling Centre (UCC) or Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Be a PFA Champion

Ever wondered how you can make a real difference in someone’s life – Simply by being there when it matters most?

“Be a PFA Champion” is your opportunity to step up and make a real difference. Psychological First Aid (PFA) is about offering comfort, listening with empathy, and providing support in moments of distress. By equipping yourself with these skills, you’ll be ready to reach out and care for those around you.

Join us in the upcoming activities and be part of building a stronger, more compassionate #OneNTU community!

“Singapore Book of Records” Quest (23 Aug 2025 – 22 Oct 2025) 

Be part of our thrilling quest to set a Singapore Book of Records milestone for the “Most Number of People Trained in PFA within Two Months”!

 Here’s how you can get involved:

“Be a PFA Champion” Challenge (Round 1: 7 Oct 2025; Finals: 9 Oct 2025)

 Game for a challenge? Team up in groups of 2 to 4 and undertake exciting real-world scenarios via the PFA Mobile Learning app and live role-plays.

Showcase your teamwork, empathy, and PFA skills and stand to win cash prizes worth up to $3,000.

The Finals will be graced by Associate Professor Vivien Huan, Associate Vice President (Wellbeing), NTU Singapore.

  • All participants must complete and attain competency in a PFA training programme. This can be fulfilled through the PFA Mobile Learning app, NTU’s in-person PFA workshops, or other recognised PFA training (e.g. Singapore Red Cross-certified courses).
  • In addition, participants are strongly encouraged to attend at least one PFA experiential learning workshop. Details of the workshops will be shared with participants upon successful registration.
  • All participants are required to attend an online briefing session on Tuesday, 23 September 2025 (12pm – 1pm). More information on the session will be shared with participants upon successful registration.
