Wellbeing Advocates (WAs) are unit-appointed roles that serve as champions of employee wellbeing, liaison, resource persons and mental health first-aiders in their units to help promote and enhance the wellbeing of colleagues.
WAs act as the unit wellbeing information and resource persons to help colleagues become more aware of support resources available in NTU.
WAs will also work with UWO to conduct regular wellbeing needs analysis in units such that specific needs can be addressed through appropriate programmes or interventions.
WAs will assist UWO to extend NTU’s wellbeing reach for messaging, practices, education, activities and events.
We welcome units to nominate staff member(s) who are enthusiastic and passionate about wellbeing and helping others. No experience is required, just the heart and willingness to make a positive change! Those who have completed the Psychological First Aid training are prime candidates!
Onboarding and structured training and development will be provided for all WAs by the University Wellbeing Office.
