We offer consultation and project management services, library and information applications and turnkey solutions to a wide range of organisations in Singapore, Hong Kong and various countries in the Asian region. Our client base, numbering more than 120 resource centres, includes educational institutions, government departments, the commercial sector and non-profit organisations. We are seeking a dynamic individual who will establish and maintain long-term relationships with our clients and prospects as well as proactively contribute to the company’s continued growth as a state-of-the-art information management consultantcy. We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant Information Manager.

Responsibilities: As the Assistant Information Manager you will :
• Aid in the gathering of information on the latest and future trends in the library and information management industry so as to plan for new industry trends, marketing activities and library requirements.
• Be part of a support team who will attend to library software requests and act as a liaison person between clients and the Technical Team.
• Manage the life cycle of software change requests, including the testing, documentation and planning of software releases.
• Conduct training sessions for clients in library operations and management as well as in how to operate various information management applications.
• Assist in conducting presentations and managing project implementation for the automation of information resource centres.
• Assist in the formulation of strategies and plans to leverage on the latest in information technology and library trends.

Requirements :
• Applicants must be able to work in Singapore as well as to travel within and outside the country.
• At least a diploma or degree in Library Science, Information Studies or related discipline.
• Must have a keen interest in and be up-to-date with the most recent trends and technologies in the information management sphere.
• Experience in library operations, especially in original cataloguing will be preferred.
• Familiarity with automated library and information management applications and skills in interpreting client needs.
• Good communications (both oral and written) in English and if possible in Chinese.
• Able to multi-task and work effectively independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with cataloguing rules, MARC21 and library technical services will be an asset.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position may be for a Part-time or a Full-time employee. The successful candidate will receive medical and dental benefits, and annual and hospitalisation leave.
