This project is an attempt to create a digital painting book based on the story of a fiction novel, ‘The Alchemist’ by Paolo Coelho. It consists of approx. 20 pages of illustrations, which try to convey a visual idea of the original story. It is a process of exploring compositions, line drawings and colours to work with the narrative. The strong descriptive narrative of the best selling book is the main source of visual inspiration whereby the search for image references are based upon. I hope that the digital paintings have appropriately interpreted the settings, mood and concept of the story.
