We are engaged in the synthesis of new inorganic compounds and complexes, which will offer inroads to the synthesis of solid-state materials from molecular precursors. The rational assembly of inorganic molecules in order to produce technologically interesting materials is a major challenge.

We are especially interested in the development of new, simple and well-defined synthetic strategies for the systematic assembly of a broad range of main group compounds and transition metal complexes to be used as building blocks. Many of the target compounds have been almost unexplored previously and yet have important applications in materials science, biology and catalysis to be unfolded in the future.
