What has she been up to lately?

Dr Galdikas updates her twitter rather regularly and thus I have collated some of the things she has been working on recently. Her twitter has two purposes
1) Educating/ Informing – putting up facts or recent happenings of what she has been doing, be it at Camp Leakey or somewhere else. Information pertaining to conservation and the environment.
2) Expressing her feelings about the current situation at hand

10th March
Dr Galdikas recently conducted a training program for a palm oil company near Tanjung Puting National Park. Since a big part of the forests are cleared for oil plantations. The programmes trained them to have a no kill, no harm policy in their estates for protected and endangered species. In doing so, her team and her saved many orangutan lives.

Just this year on the 10th of February, she received 2 orphans within the space of a week.
‘ What does that tell you?” she tweeted.

She also updated that her book ‘Reflections of Eden’ has been translated into many languages including Korean, Japanese and Lithuanian.

In January, she and her team managed to rescue 4 Honey Bears.
She also informed her followers about the declining number of wild tigers and wild lions.
