Eco-labeling in Singapore

Since 1992, the Singapore Green Label Scheme (SGLS) have been established. The purpose of this scheme is to endorse pro-environmental consumer goods and services. SGLS is also acknowledged as part of the international Global Eco-labeling Network (GEN). This adds further credibility to the green label certification of consumer products. These green-labeled products are readily available in all major supermarkets and stores islandwide. These products are also recognizable from the green logo on the packaging and they are usually competitively priced alongside with other non-green labeled products.

Apart from consumer goods, there are different types of eco-labels available for other categories of products.
