Singapore is contributes a mere 0.2% of global emissions. The refining and petrochemical sector is the largest contributor to our carbon emissions. This is because due to Singapore’s strategic location, it is a key market for many petrochemical industries. Laws have been put in place to keep in check the carbon emissions by this sector.
