Hello!

Welcome to my blog =) I’m Kendrick, a second year psychology undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University.

Given the recent media coverage on global warming, decreasing biodiversity and other environmental challenges, it is tempting to imagine conservation to be a recent phenomenon. Yet as far back as in the late 1990s, there was a program for young primary school children like myself to learn about environmental conservation and implement practical steps. I achieved a Young Environmentalist Badge then, am it seems timely that now on the last legs of my formal education, I am revisiting conservation again.

In the fast paced media age we live in, sexy sells, and charismatic megafauna receive disproportionate attention at the expense of other similarly worthy fauna. With this blog, I hope to highlight this and spread some awareness of the need to conserve biodiversity in a holistic manner.
