I was worried that I might get overwhelmed in the course due to not having any experience with translation, but the course had proven to be a great way for me to learn about the current issues in the field. Deborah’s comprehensive coverage of the field of translation has made me more conscious about the act of translation and the considerations that go into it. Overall, the course has broadened my thinking for dealing with foreign language works and their translated equivalents, something I hope to tap into in future writing projects.
