The course zooms in on the aspect of voice in a novel – how it permeates dialogue, setting, emotion, themes and the very words in a work. The exercises from the course and Sharlene’s invaluable feedback on my work-in-progress has helped me to focus on ways to bring out its voice better, and to think about the wider context of its relationship between readers and other published works .
