Shamini Flint

Shamini Flint is celebrated for her diverse body of work, ranging from crime thrillers to children’s books. She is best known for her Inspector Singh Investigates series, published by Little, Brown and translated widely. These novels explore complex societal issues, blending sharp humour with insightful commentary on culture and justice. Inspector Singh has been optioned for TV with Britbox International and is to star Sanjeev Bhaskar in the titular role.

Shamini is also an accomplished children’s author, having penned over 50 books that tackle themes such as environmental conservation, multiculturalism, and social responsibility. Her 10-book ‘Diary of’ series for children, published by Allen & Unwin, is particularly popular for its humour and charm while her children’s novel, Ten, has been published by Houghton & Mifflin, Scholastic and Allen & Unwin and is used in the Singapore P5 syllabus.
