Ease at NTU ADM Portfolio

ease is a product range that is both decorative and functional, designed to enhance our comfort in confined and inert workspaces. Inspired by the Olive-backed Sunbird, a bird native to Singapore that adapts well to urban landscapes, ease aims to help users feel comfortable and adapt well to confined workspaces. Made using a combination of Acacia, plywood and bamboo, the product range is designed to incorporate the innate beauty and tactile quality of nature in a contemporary working environment. The products are also designed to give a sense of movement from its roly-poly form and rhythmic patterns created by the layers of plywood.

Stream of Imagination at NTU ADM Portfolio

Stream of Imagination (2016)

Daydreams are “an altered state of consciousness”, making them part of our imagination, flowing endlessly in our minds like a stream of water. Inspired by Refik Anadol’s optical art, the work makes use of line illustrated-motifs that feature nature and the movement of water. Through the overlapping of motifs and the use of colour, the work aims to create an illusory motion and dimension of a flowing stream to evoke the fluid nature of our imagination that exists in our daydreams.
