Ute Meta Bauer

Ute Meta Bauer is a professor in the School of Art, Design and Media and Founding Director of the Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, a research center of Nanyang Technological University.
Previously, she was Dean of Fine Art at Royal College of Art, London, UK (2012-2013). She was Associate Professor, Founding Director of the Program in Art, Culture, and Technology (2009–2012) and Director of the Visual Arts Program (2005–2009) at the School of Architecture and Planning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA.
Her recent publications include World Biennale Forum No 1 – Shifting Gravity (co-edited with Hou Hanru) and AR – Artistic Research (co-edited with Thomas D. Trummer), (both 2013).
For NTU CCA Singapore, she curated with Anca Rujoiu Paradise Lost (2013), Theatrical Fields (2013/14), Simryn Gill: Hugging the Shore (2015); and with Khim Ong Yang Fudong: Incidental Scripts (2014). She is also Co-Curator of the US Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale with MIT List Visual Art Director Paul Ha.
