Behind Closed Doors
Abstract or Summary of Project
Behind Closed Doors is an interactive narrative diorama design that aims to show what inequality, specifically hidden poverty, actually looks like in Singapore. It aims to shed light on the issue that is present in our everyday life, yet largely hidden and camouflaged. It is to bring what is invisible to be visible.
Beneath the skyscrapers, behind well-architectured buildings, poverty has been so well hidden in Singapore. Thus, Behind Closed Doors, thus allowing the participants to have a look into what inequality looks like through a diorama, presenting everyday experiences that narrate the problems and issues faced by the people.
