Abstract or Summary of Project

Singapore and Malaysia. Compared to other parts of the world, our border area is relatively uneventful. However, the two countries, simultaneously connected and separated in numerous way, still experience issues arising between them. This duality manifesting itself in the areas along the Straits of Johor, the body of water acting as a natural border area between the two countries. This work explores visually these areas as they exist in one state, while overlooking another.
