Housing Development Box

Abstract or Summary of Project

“Housing Development Box” is a game intended to foster children’s (aged 9-12) interests in Singapore’s past and present through architecture. It also hopes to encourage meaningful intergenerational exchange.

The game is developed based on accurate historical reference of the key architectural typologies within the context of Singapore’s history, and meant to have children learn about the transition: from traditional to modern architecture, through play.

An integral part of the design strategy is the creation of educational materials, consisting of both printed and augmented reality components. This brings more depth to the learning in which child, parents and grandparents can explore.”
