Planting Heritage

Abstract or Summary of Project

Planting Heritage is a project that aims to increase the appreciation of plants amongst young Singaporeans. Through incorporating local plant heritage and storytelling, the project focuses on introducing native plants and their relevance in our culture to the target audience.

As a migrant country with a melting pot of cultures, Singapore has a rich reserve of plant customs from its diverse communities that could be capitalised on to relate to people from different ethnic backgrounds.

The project explores the role plants play in our culture and highlights the important value of plants in order to connect young Singaporeans to nature and the conservation of the environment.
