This is because desalination is inefficient. Only 1% of drinking water requires 12500 desalination plants. Low yield and high energy consumption.

Water soluble vitamins to because “like dissolves like”. As water is a polar solvent compounds that are soluble in water would be polar. Fat soluble vitamins are not able to dissolve in water thus making them non polar.

a) instead of using dryer, drying naturally reduces energy consumption and reduces any possible emission of gases that cause acid rain.
B) walking and cycling does not require the burning of fossil fuels while taking public transport can reduce the number of cars on the road and hence lesser nitrogen dioxide is emitted.
C) accumulate the dishes and clothes such that they can be washed in big batches instead of small loads, reducing the energy consumption resulting in reduction of substances that would cause acid rain.
D) insulator will conserve more heat, thus lesser energy is used.
E) there will be lesser import and export of food, reducing the use of aero planes and ships, reducing emission of nitrogen dioxide from transportation.
