(c) Different isomers will have different structural and atomic properties. Hence, they will have different levels of sweetness

2.

Everything in existence is a chemical. For example water is a chemical with the chemical formula of H2O. Everything we consumed is made up of chemicals, hence it is impossible to go on a “chemical-free” diet.

1.

Difference between one carbon atom and another is the differing number of neutrons and electrons.
Difference between carbon and uranium is the differing number of protons, neutrons and electrons, as well as different chemical properties.

2.

N represents the element nitrogen and does not specify the type of isotope. 14N and 15N represent very specific types of isotopes with mass number of 14 and 15 respectively, hence gives the difference in their number of neutrons.

3.

a. 94 protons
b. 93 protons – Neptunium, 94 protons – plutonium
c. 86 protons

1.

Higher price issues occur as price of water made by desalination is much higher than other traditional water supply.
Quality of water is affected as certain organism present in water cannot be removed solely based on one process.
Waste disposal can pollute the sea as chemicals used for treatment are often not properly disposed.
Therefore, desalination techniques may not be efficient.

2.

Water soluble vitamins are polar while fat soluble vitamins are non polar. This is because water is polar and if something is water soluble then it is polar too since they interact with water molecules. Fat soluble would not be polar, for example oil does not dissolve in water.

3.

a. Consume less electricity
b. Reduce vehicle emissions of NOx
c. Use less electricity consumption
d. Use less electricity consumption
e. Use less transport and reduce transport emission of NOx and SO2.
Electricity are generated from coal using power plants, hence, reduced consumption will lead to a reduced need for these plants.

4.

a. Coal-fired plants produced sulphur which in turn creates particles. This will result in poor visibility. Smog droplets will create smoke which results in the acidity of the pH.
b. pH of the rainfall in the park is 4.6 since the average pH is 5.
