Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, is a derivative of salicylic acid. It is often used to treat pain, reduce fever and inflammation. There are several side effects of aspirin, such as gastrointestinal ulcers, stomach bleeding and metabolic side effects, when overdose.
