I finally decided to settle with this after multiple (failed) attempts to make the fashion illustration look more presentable.

 

Below is a short write-up of my work:

Inspired by fireflies and the possibility of certain species being endangered in the future due to human activities, the dress mimics the fireflies in their natural habitat with the wood veneer wrapped around, symbolising the “dying” forest. Thus, the ‘living habitat’ worn by the model represents the hope and possibility in finding a peaceful balance for humans and fireflies to co-exist.
