This course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts and methods of Conversation Analysis, a field of research which takes naturally occurring speech interaction as its object of study.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to handle naturally occurring speech data at first hand, perform conversation analytic work on the data, and read with understanding publications in Conversation Analysis. They will also be able to make recommendations to organizations to enhance the effectiveness of communication based on the analysis.
