Likewise with the explanations stated previously, as the fatigue from attending and processing stimuli is relieved after exposure and interaction with green spaces, frustration and negative affect may be reduced, therefore, mood can be improved (Kaplan, 1995), resulting in increased happiness.

Also, due to the innate need to be close to natural stimuli (Wilson, 1984), humans tend to be happier in the presence of natural environments such as green spaces.
