Encouraging Behavioural Change

The target behaviours relating to this situation are:

  1. Curtailment: Getting Singaporeans to take food away less
However, considering Singaporeans’ tight schedules, this idea is less practical and Singaporeans will probably be less receptive to such solutions.

    And/Or

  2. Efficiency Behaviours: getting Singaporeans to bring their own containers/use their own cutlery if they intend to take food home. If not, encouraging them to dine in instead of taking food home. How can either be achieved?

This section thus uses psychological concepts to study the possible ways in which Singaporeans’ behaviours can be influenced. There are both external and internal factors involved.
